Morris Nets Winner for U23s - Ipswich Town News

Ben Morris netted a 66th minute penalty as Town’s U23s beat Birmingham City 1-0 at St Andrew’s this afternoon.

Morris, who has come on as a sub in the last two first-team matches, converted from the spot after full-back Bailey Clements had cut in and been tripped by Josh Martin.

Meanwhile, recent Blues trialist keeper Kleton Perntreou has joined Vanarama National League South side Chelmsford City.

Ex-Palace and Welling man Perntreou, 23, featured for the U23s in the January games at West Brom and at home to Millwall.

U23s: Wright, Brown (Scott 74), Clements, McKendry (El Mizouni, 74), Cotter, Goteni, Morris, Ndaba, Drinan, Folami, Sagaf (Dobra 86). Unused: Hayes, Foudil.
