Ingimarsson Released - Ipswich Town News
Rumoured Town target Ivar Ingimarsson has been released by Brentford. The Icelandic international was out of contract at Griffin Park at the end of June and the move comes as no surprise.
Ingimarsson, a close friend of Hermann Hreidarsson, has been told by national manager Atli Edvaldsson that he must be playing at least First Division level if he is to be considered for Iceland's Euro 2004 games.
George Burley has denied making any moves for Ingimarsson so far, but players available on Bosmans are likely to be Town's targets over the summer.
Also on Brentford's released list is former Town defender David Theobald. The centre-half joined the Bees in the summer of 1999.
Town face Brentford in a pre-season friendly on July 31st at Griffin Park.
