Irish Youngster to Join Blues in Summer - Ipswich Town News
League of Ireland First Division club Finn Harps have announced that their 16-year-old midfielder Connor O’Reilly will be joining Town in July.
The Donegal side’s secretary John Campbell told their official website. "An agreement has now been reached with Ipswich and on behalf of Finn Harps I want to wish Connor all the very best in his ambition to become a professional footballer.”
Twice capped by the Republic of Ireland at U16 level, Letterkenny-based O’Reilly is currently a member of the Harps’ U17 squad and has also played for their reserves. Previously he was was with youth sides Illistrin FC and Bonagee United.
O’Reilly is set to become a full-time scholar at Town’s Playford Road academy when he joins up with the club for pre-season.
