Cotter Handed Debut Against Tykes - Ipswich Town News

January signing Barry Cotter is handed his Town debut from the start as the Blues face Barnsley at Portman Road. Manager Mick McCarthy makes five changes from the team which lost 1-0 at Brentford on Saturday.

Cotter, who joined the Blues from Limerick on deadline day, is set to line up on the right of a back three with Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jonas Knudsen with skipper Luke Chambers and Adam Webster both ruled out by injury. Myles Kenlock comes in at left wing-back with Jordan Spence on the right.

Cole Skuse returns to the midfield and wears the captain’s armband as the Blues line-up in a 3-4-3 system, while Mustapha Carayol and Bersant Celina are back in the front three either side of Martyn Waghorn.

Former Blues striker Kieffer Moore and ex-Town loanee Zeki Fryers both start for the Tykes.
