Holland on Move Rumours - Ipswich Town News

Matt Holland has commented on the stories linking him with moves away from Portman Road before the beginning of next season. According to various reports the Town captain has been interesting a large number of Premiership clubs.

Previously Holland has said he would be happy to remain at Portman Road despite the club's drop into the First Division. However, he says on his website that his mind is currently on other matters: "I must clarify the [transfer] situation by stating that all my thoughts at present concern the World Cup.

"When this tournament is over, hopefully not for another couple of weeks, I will consider next season but until I do, everything else is unsubstantiated rumour.

"What is concerning me at present is the bang to the ribs I picked up against Germany. It has prevented me from training on Friday and Saturday although I do hope to be active during Sunday's session."

So far this summer Everton, Southampton, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Charlton, Middlesbrough, Spurs and Leeds have all been linked with the Town skipper.
