Watford Youngster on Trial - Ipswich Town News

TWTD understands Watford youngster Dennon Lewis is on trial with the Blues having been told he will be released by the Hornets at the end of the season.

The 20-year-old, who learned he will not be offered new terms at Vicarage Road last week, played for Town’s U23s as they were beaten 2-1 at Huddersfield on Monday.

Born in Brent, Lewis (pictured above in action in an FA Youth Cup tie for the Hornets against Norwich when an U18) joined the Watford academy as an U11 and progressed through the ranks, signing his first professional deal in 2015.

Able to operate in a number of roles including full-back, winger and up front, Lewis spent time on loan in the Vanarama National League with Woking in 2016/17, where he made 23 starts and six sub appearances, scoring four times.

Lewis, who is 5ft 10in tall, was on loan in League Two with Crawley during the first half of this season, making six starts and eight sub appearances without finding the net.
