Blues Legends and FA Cup at Portman Road for 78 Day - Ipswich Town News
Sunday 6th May, when the Blues face Middlesbrough at home in their final Championship fixture of the season, has been designated 78 Day to celebrate Town winning the FA Cup 40 years ago to the day.
Several of the team which beat Arsenal 1-0 at Wembley that day, including Paul Mariner, John Wark, Mick Mills, Kevin Beattie and goalscorer Roger Osborne will be at the game holding a signing session in the FanZone prior to the match and on the pitch at half-time.
The FA Cup will also be at Portman Road and fans can have a photo taken with the trophy. The match kicks-off at 12.30pm with the FanZone open from 9am.
