Matt May Go - Burley - Ipswich Town News
Town manager George Burley has admitted that Matt Holland may leave Portman Road over the summer. The Town captain has been the subject of enormous speculation since the Blues dropped into the Nationwide League.
Burley has previously said that, although he wants to keep his captain, every player has his price. And he admits that if the right offer comes in for Holland Town wouldn't block a move: "How can we stand in his way if another club wants to take him back into the Premiership? Matt is 28 now and the next move will be the biggest of his career.
"While we don't want to lose him we have to be realistic. We are a First Division club again now and he is a Premiership footballer, but that does not mean we will consider letting him go for below our valuation.
"Anyone who wants to sign him will have to meet our asking price."
