Matt Holland's Ireland side qualified for the second phase of the World Cup as runners-up in Group E after beating Saudi Arabia 3-0. The Town skipper played the full 90 minutes in Yokohama.
Goals from Robbie Keane (7), Gary Breen (62) and Damien Duff (87) won the day for the Irish in a nervy game.
Holland's side will now meet the winners of Group B, almost certainly Spain in Suwon on Sunday at 12.30pm.
