Gleeson's Aberdeen Move Confirmed - Ipswich Town News

Aberdeen have confirmed that released Blues midfielder Stephen Gleeson has agreed to join them on a two-year deal from July 1st.

The 29-year-old was reported to be close to moving to the Scottish Premiership side, who are in the Europa League in 2018/19, a week ago.

Irish international Gleeson made five starts and five sub appearances for Town having signed a short-term deal in January after his Birmingham contract was terminated by mutual consent.

"I’m delighted to bring his experience to Aberdeen,” Dons boss Derek McInnes told their official website.

"He’s exactly the type of player we wanted for that role. He’s got the qualities to be a very good player, both on and off the pitch and as a club we’ll be able to give him what he demands of himself.”

BREAKING NEWS | The club can today confirm Irish international Stephen Gleeson has agreed to move to Pittodrie.
