Championship Trio in McGoldrick Talks - Ipswich Town News
Former Blues striker David McGoldrick is reported to be in talks with Aston Villa - who TWTD revealed were showing interest in the Republic of Ireland international in January - West Brom and Bristol City having left Portman Road in May.
According to Football Insider, Villa, the Baggies and Robins have all contacted the 30-year-old free agent.
McGoldrick wasn’t offered new terms by the Blues when his previous contract was up at the end of last season but in any case the former Nottingham Forest and Southampton man was keen to move closer to his family home in the East Midlands, which suggests Villa Park or the Hawthorns would be destinations which would appeal more than Ashton Gate.
