Town XI at Brightlingsea - Ipswich Town News
A Town XI featuring U23s and U18s face Bostik Premier Division Brightlingsea Regent in a friendly at their Taydal Stadium on Saturday afternoon (KO 3pm).
"It's going to be a great day for our club," Regent boss Tom Rothery told the Clacton Gazette.
"It's not every day you get to test yourself against professional players, albeit younger ones, and it's clearly going to be a real challenge.
"It can only be positive, though, and we're looking forward to pitting ourselves against them.”
It’s likely to be a very young Town XI with the senior players and youngsters on the fringes of the first team at Braintree for another pre-season friendly.
