George Burley has become the latest football figure to back Bobby Robson's knighthood. Burley spent the majority of his playing career in Robson's Town sides of the 70s and 80s.
Burley told the club site: "Bobby thoroughly deserved his honour, not only for what he has done in football in this country, but also all over the world.
"He has an incredible appetite for the game and everybody in football appreciates his passion and dedication to the sport.
"He certainly deserves this reward for the magnificent service he has given to the game."
