Sheffield United Linked With Waghorn Bid - Ipswich Town News
Sheffield United are reported to have made a £5 million bid for Blues striker Martyn Waghorn.
According to the Daily Star, the Blades' offer is the latest in a series of bids they have made for last season’s 16-goal top scorer.
We understand the South Yorkshiremen are indeed among the numerous Championship clubs to have shown interest in the 28-year-old in recent weeks, while Middlesbrough, Derby and Birmingham are all keen and Nottingham Forest have been linked.
The Blues are believed to want at least £7 million for the frontman signed from Rangers for £200,000 last August.
Speaking earlier this morning, Blues boss Paul Hurst admitted there is no guarantee that Waghorn will still be at Portman Road on the opening day of the season.
