Town Open Day Thursday - Ipswich Town News

Town’s annual Open Day takes place at Portman Road this Thursday.

Manager Paul Hurst and the squad will sign autographs and pose for photos with fans for an hour from 9.45am, gates having opened at 9.30am. Early arrival is recommended with more than 2,000 fans getting their chance to meet the players last year.

The squad will then be put through their paces by the new management team in a training session on the main Portman Road pitch.

In addition, there will be plenty of attractions available in the FanZone including inflatables, Go Ape - Segways, tennis with the Elena Baltacha Foundation, golf with Seckford Golf Club, sand arts, face painting, the opportunity to ‘drive’ a fire engine and a double decker bus and more.""

Bluey and Crazee will take part in the mascot race on the main pitch and there will be plenty of food and refreshments available.

"It’s always a popular day at the club and the chance for supporters to come down and meet the players and also take part in the fun activities,” Town MD Ian Milne told the official website.

The SLO Hub & ITFC Heritage Society will be in the #itfc FanZone Marquee at the @Official_ITFC Open Day. Come and say hi and pick up a free programme (or two) from last season.– Liz Edwards ITFC SLO (@ITFC_SLO) July 23, 2018

"""It’s a good way to start the season with everyone together and, of course, with a new manager it’s a new era this year as well.” Entry is free with around 6,500 having attended the event, which is set to run until around 2pm, last summer.
