Derby Day Moves - Ipswich Town News
Town's second Norwich derby of the season at Carrow Road has moved from Saturday, 1st March 2003 to Sunday, 2nd March 2003, kicking-off at 1pm.
March 2nd is the day of the Worthington Cup final, presumably explaining the 1pm kick-off time, while the police have, in the recent past, often asked for East Anglian derbies to be moved to Sundays.
In addition, should Town make it to the UEFA Cup fourth round, the second leg will be on the preceding Thursday which usually means the subsequent Saturday fixture moves to the Sunday.
The Blues first face the Canaries at Portman Road on September 14th. As yet that game has not been moved, although this could well be on the cards for either TV or policing reasons.
