Waghorn Again on Bench as Blues Face West Ham - Ipswich Town News

Striker Martyn Waghorn is again on the bench for today’s final pre-season friendly at home to West Ham, while Cole Skuse is missing due to a thigh problem (KO 3pm).

Waghorn, a target of Derby County, was on the bench in the game against the MK Dons on Tuesday and the same appears likely to be the case today.

In Paul Hurst's first game as boss at Portman Road, Bartosz Bialkowski starts in goal with Jordan Spence at right-back, Luke Woolfenden at centre-half alongside skipper Luke Chambers with Jonas Knudsen at left-back.

In midfield, Flynn Downes and Andre Dozzell are likely to take the deeper roles with Tristan Nydam ahead of them, Gwion Edwards and Freddie Sears the widemen and Ellis Harrison the lone striker.

New loanee Trevoh Chalobah, who returned from the U19s Euros in Finland yesterday, is alongside another summer addition, Jordan Roberts, and Waghorn among the subs.

Former Blues loanee Mark Noble is on the bench for the Hammers, while Aaron Cresswell misses out with a groin strain.

A reminder that today's game will be broadcast live on Facebook. #itfc
