U18s Thrash Luton - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18s comprehensively beat Luton Town 5-0 in a pre-season friendly at Playford Road on Saturday lunchtime.
Striker Lewis Reed (pictured) opened the scoring after seven minutes after a neat touch from Thomas Hughes, and Reed then turned provider for Frenchman Lounes Foudil who slotted home just four minutes later.
Hughes added his name to the scoresheet on 54 when he cut in from the left and beat the keeper from the edge of the box.
On 71 Idris El Mizouni latched onto a ball over the top and finished confidently, before sub Tyreece Simpson completed the scoring in the final minute following a good ball from Kian Ronan.
U18s: Alley, O'Reilly, Smith (Akongo 78), Scott (Baker 64), Ferenbach, Henderson (Henry 56), Ruffles (Trialist 81), El Mizouni (Healey 81), Reed (Simpson 46), Foudil (Ronan 46), Hughes (Clifford 81). Unused: Egan.
