Town Meet Shrews' Valuation for Nsiala and Nolan as Signings Get Closer - Ipswich Town News
Shrewsbury chief executive Brian Caldwell has revealed that the Blues have met his club’s valuation of central defender Toto Nsiala and midfielder Jon Nolan and expects the deals to be confirmed in the next 48 hours.
Speaking to BBC Radio Shropshire, Caldwell says the initial fees have been agreed but discussions still ongoing regarding sell-on clauses.
"From the Nolan and Nsiala point of view, I’ll be honest, they have come back in and more or less met our valuation, I’ve stuck strong to that.
"I think I’ve made it clear that there was no compromising with my valuation. Where we’re at just now is that they’ve tried to put in a lower sell-on, which I’m not happy with because you just look at the players that we’re had and I think, to be fair to us as well, we want the valuation and we also want the sell-on at the right percentage.
"So that’s where it’s at just now, I would imagine that will probably bottom out over the next 48 hours and hopefully we can get a conclusion to it from everybody’s point of view.”
The duo were both left out of the Shrews side today having been barred from training after handing in transfer requests following Town's rebuffed joint-bid earlier in the week.
Speaking at his post-match press conference Blues manager Paul Hurst said Town were getting closer on some of their targets: "I think some are kind of edging more in our favour."
