Hurst Confirms Enquiry for Wigan-Bound Windass - Ipswich Town News

Town boss Paul Hurst has confirmed that he made an enquiry to Rangers regarding forward Josh Windass, who is expected to join Wigan before this afternoon’s 5pm deadline in what’s reported to be a £2 million deal.

"I like the player, I definitely like the player,” he said. "We’ve enquired about him but I don’t think it’s something we could pursue.

"Someone had mentioned that he’s on his way here, someone just said it might have been his dad more likely that's on his way.

"He’s a good player and we are interested in any good players. I think he would have fitted us well, but it doesn’t look like that one is going to happen.”
