Emmanuel Joins Shrews on Loan - Ipswich Town News

Town right-back Josh Emmanuel has joined League One Shrewsbury on a season-long loan.

Emmanuel spent 2017/18 on loan with Rotherham in the same division and featured for the Millers in their play-off final victory over the Shrews, then managed by Paul Hurst in May.

The 21-year-old seemed unlikely to play much football for Town this season with Janoi Donacien and Jordan Spence ahead of him in the pecking order.

Emmanuel has made 19 starts and five sub appearances for the Blues.

The former West Ham schoolboy is contracted to Town until next summer with the club having an option to keep him for a further campaign.

The Blues can cut short the loan in January if Emmanuel is required at Portman Road.
