Town Confirm Morris Loan to Forest Green Rovers - Ipswich Town News

Town have confirmed that striker Ben Morris has joined League Two Forest Green Rovers on a season-long loan.

The Blues are able to cut the loan short in January if the England U19 international is required at Portman Road.

Forest Green manager Mark Cooper told their official website: "Ben’s an exciting, young centre-forward - Ipswich have got high hopes for him.

"I don’t think you can ever say anyone’s a replacement for Christian [Doidge, who has joined Bolton] but I think he’s one that our fans will enjoy watching.

Delighted to join @FGRFC_Official on loan for the season, can’t wait to get started⚽️ https://t.co/qVJA0mYxfY

"He’s a real workhorse, he can get hold of the ball, he can run the channels and he can score goals, so I’m really looking forward to working with him.”

The 19-year-old has made one senior start and four sub appearances for the Blues but looked unlikely to play too much part in the season ahead and had been expected to move out on loan.
