Hurst Confirms Collins Interest - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Paul Hurst has confirmed that he has spoken to former West Ham defender James Collins and the club will hold talks with the Welshman again in the week ahead. TWTD revealed that Collins was among the centre-halves under consideration ahead of Friday’s loan deadline.
"We spoke to him last week, we’re due to have another conversation, so I wouldn’t particularly rule anything out,” Hurst said.
"He’s certainly not just coming into sign paperwork. But it is something we will look at.”
Clubs are still able to sign free agents such as 35-year-old Collins, who has also been linked with a return to the Hammers, outside the transfer window.
