Woolfenden on Target for Swindon - Ipswich Town News

On-loan Blues defender Luke Woolfenden scored his first Swindon goal but his League Two loan side fell to 2-1 defeat to Bury at the County Ground this afternoon.

Woolfenden volleyed an equaliser for the Robins five minutes after the restart in his third game for his loan club. The 19-year-old had previously scored only one senior goal during his loan spell with Bromley in the Vanarama National League last season.

Elsewhere, Tristan Nydam was an unused sub as St Johnstone drew 1-1 with Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership, while Josh Emmanuel played the full 90 minutes for Shrewsbury as they beat Southend 2-0 in League One.

Ben Morris was also left on the bench throughout as Forest Green Rovers drew 1-1 away against the MK Dons in League Two.

Chris Smith played the whole game for Aldershot as they were beaten 3-0 at AFC Fylde in the National League, but neither Aaron Drinan nor Pat Webber were in the matchday squads for their loan clubs Sutton United and Braintree.

Conor McKendry was also not in the Lowestoft squad having joined the Trawlerboys on loan yesterday.
