Brown Hits Hat-Trick as U18s Win Nine-Goal Thriller at Charlton - Ipswich Town News

Zak Brown hit a hat-trick as Town’s U18s won 6-3 away at Charlton Athletic on Saturday morning.

Kai Brown opened the scoring for the Blues before an own goal, Zak Brown’s first of the match and Kian Ronan made it 4-0.

The Addicks pulled the scoreline back to 4-2 but Brown added his second and then his third, a penalty, to complete a memorable victory for the team coached by Adem Atay and Kieron Dyer.

Cardiff City’s 1-0 defeat at Bristol City means the young Blues are now second in the Professional Development League Two South on goal difference alone, although having played one game more than the Bluebirds.

Town’s U23s are in action against Watford at Vicarage Road on Monday afternoon (KO 2pm).

U18s: Ware, O’Reilly, T Smith, Scott, Kabongolo, Vega, K Brown, Ronan, Z Brown, Foudil, Ruffles.
