Bramble Deal Done Monday - Ipswich Town News
Reports in the North-East say that Titus Bramble's move to Newcastle United will be completed on Monday when Bobby Robson returns from his stint as a pundit with ITV. The Magpies have increased their earlier bid of £4.2 million in order to land the centre-half.
In addition to the larger initial fee, probably approaching £5 million, the deal will include top-ups similar to those involved in the Kieron Dyer move to St James' Park in 1999.
Town are likely to get up to another £1 million dependent on a set number of appearances and any England caps Bramble eventually gains.
The 20-year-old has made 62 first team appearances for Town in all competitions and has scored four goals. While with the Blues he also made two starts while on loan at Colchester United.
