Preston a 2pm Kick-Off - Ipswich Town News

Town's game at Preston has been confirmed as a 2pm kick-off. Last week the Lancastrians moved the game to Sunday, September 1st due to Town's UEFA Cup match with FA Avenir Beggen on the preceding Thursday.

Previously the August 26th home match against cash-strapped Bradford City moved to an evening kick-off. The Bank Holiday Monday clash was planned for 3pm but will now start at 7.45pm.

The Leicester game has also moved to a Sunday, on 18th August with a 3pm kick-off. Town play the first leg of their UEFA Cup qualifying round on the Thursday before.

The Blues' clash with Wolves, originally scheduled for Tuesday, September 17th, has moved to a day later. This is due to Town's match with Norwich having switched to the Sunday two days before.

The visit of Wolves could end up being postponed to an even later date if the Blues come through the qualifying round of the UEFA Cup. Town's UEFA Cup first round, first leg match would be on Thursday, September 19th.

As well as the Wolves game, Wimbledon have already announced that their match against Town will move from Saturday, October 5th to Sunday, October 6th should Town progress to the UEFA Cup proper.

In addition to that game, the match with Stoke City on Saturday, September 21st is also likely to move to the Sunday.
