Blues manager Paul Hurst has been impressed with keeper Dean Gerken’s displays since his big decision to drop three-times-Player of the Year Bartosz Bialkowski.
Gerken, 33, was brought into the team for the Norwich match just before the international break and has kept the shirt for the last two matches.
"I think I’ve heard the fans singing his name and rightly so because I felt for him a little bit when I made that call and a lot of the talk was more about who wasn’t in the team rather than focusing the lads are in there,” Hurst said.
"Dean’s certainly not let us down, he’s made good saves in the Hull game. I think the Norwich one as it turned out, he didn’t have too many saves to make in truth, but then did well at Hull to keep us in the game, albeit it didn’t help us in the end.
"And then the other night, a couple of big saves at good times and I’m sure he’ll be pleased to get back in the team and show what he can do.”
