Collins Set for Villa - Ipswich Town News
Aston Villa have emerged as the club former Town trialist James Collins is likely to join.
Earlier today Blues manager Paul Hurst confirmed that the 35-year-old wouldn’t be returning to Town with whom he spent time training until he suffered a hamstring injury.
Stoke had appeared to be his destination, the Welshman having revealed he had spoken to the Potters at the weekend, however, according to The Telegraph, Collins has been invited to train with Villa once he has has returned to fitness with a view to a short-term deal.
The former Wales international was previously with Villa between 2009 and 2012.
