Rowe and Roberts in U23s at Colchester - Ipswich Town News
Danny Rowe and Jordan Roberts are the only senior players involved in this afternoon’s U23s game against Colchester at their Florence Park training ground (KO 1pm).
Manager Paul Hurst says winger Rowe has been unwell, while summer signing Roberts is in need of minutes.
"We’ve got Danny Rowe and Jordan Roberts playing,” he said. "Danny was ill last week so he needs a game.
"Jordan, for where he’s at at this moment in time I think it’s the best thing is to get him some more minutes out on the pitch.”
Hurst added that Emyr Huws (knee), Teddy Bishop (hamstring) and Tom Adeyemi are not yet ready to be involved.
U23s: Wright, Crowe, Clements, McGavin, Smith, Ndaba, K Brown, El Mizouni, Roberts, Lankester, Rowe. Subs: Egan, Hughes, Scott, Z Brown, Marshall.
