Danny Rowe netted twice and Jordan Roberts once as Town’s table-topping U23s beat Colchester 3-1 at their Florence Park training ground this afternoon, Chris Forino pulling back a late consolation for the U’s.
Early on, keeper Harry Wright had saved a penalty from Colchester's Callum Jones.
The side coached by Gerard Nash and Chris Hogg remain top of the Professional Development League Two South standings by three points without a defeat in their last seven matches. They are next in action at QPR on Friday 12th October (KO 2pm).
