Sereni's Move Very Close - Ipswich Town News

Matteo Sereni's loan move to Brescia is just one piece of paper away from being confirmed Town manager George Burley has revealed. Sereni has been discussing personal terms with the Serie A side over the last few days and it appears that all obstacles have now been overcome.

Burley told the club site: "We are awaiting for one more bit of paperwork to be signed and then Matteo will be going out on a long-term loan move to Brescia with a view to a permanent transfer."

Sereni joined Town from Sampdoria for £4.8 million last August. He is thought to be Town's highest paid player on £22,000 per week and his move will remove £1 million from the club's annual wage bill.
