Dozzell Set to Start Against Swans - Ipswich Town News
TWTD understands Andre Dozzell will be handed his first start of the season in tomorrow’s game at Swansea.
Dozzell, 19, made his first competitive senior appearance under Paul Hurst as a sub in Tuesday’s 2-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough having missed all but the opening day of last season after rupturing a cruciate knee ligament.
Speaking on Thursday, manager Paul Hurst was coy when asked whether Dozzell, who featured for the last 14 minutes against the Teessiders, might be in the XI against the Swans.
"We’ll see,” he said. "As I’ve said, I don’t think he would go for 90 minutes, that’s my honest view. He may surprise you but that would be my view, so we’ve got to consider that.
"But ultimately we need a result and I’ve got to pick which team I think is best to get that.”
