Folami Nets as Australian U19s Beat Vietnam - Ipswich Town News

Blues striker Ben Folami was on target as Australia’s U19s beat Vietnam 2-1 in their second group game at the AFC U19 Championship in Indonesia this morning.

Folami, who was winning his second cap having started the 1-1 draw with South Korea on Friday, netted his first goal for the Young Socceroos in the 76th minute to give his side a 2-0 lead, Newcastle Jets’ Angus Thurgate having opened the scoring six minutes before the break.

The Vietnamese pulled one back five minutes before the end but the Australians held on for the win.
