Town Looking for Academy Scouts - Ipswich Town News

Town are on the hunt for scouts to search for talented youngsters for the academy in Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Hertfordshire.

""We are looking for people that want to be part of the academy experience and help support ITFC by identifying talent within our local community and further catchment areas,” academy manager Lee O’Neill told the club site.

"We have key development centres across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex which have helped us identify many academy graduates down the years such as Kieron Dyer, Andre Dozzell, James Scowcroft, Darren Bent, Teddy Bishop, Darren Ambrose and many more.”

"The scouts will be looking for U7-U12 players for the Foundation Development Phase and U13-U16 players for the Youth Development Phase.

Youngsters in the U8-U11s age group have to live within a catchment area of 60 minutes’ drive from Town’s Playford Road training ground, IP4 5RQ, according to the AA Route Planner, and 90 minutes’ travelling time for the U12-U16s.

Scouts will be given two season tickets for Town first-team games as well as a club kit and be put on a bonus scheme.
