Legend Beattie's Funeral Today - Ipswich Town News
The funeral of Blues legend Kevin Beattie takes place this afternoon with fans asked to pay tribute at Portman Road rather than at the crematorium. Beattie died aged 64 last month.
The funeral procession will pass by the Sir Bobby Robson statue in Portman Road at around 2.30pm and Beattie’s family have politely requested that supporters salute the man viewed as the club’s greatest ever player there.
Space is limited at the Seven Hills Crematorium and parking restrictions set to be put in place with the funeral service for family, close friends and ex-team-mates of the former England international.""The book of condolence will remain in Planet Blue until 3.15pm on Friday for those who have not already signed it.
The TWTD Forum will be closed for six minutes from 2.30pm in tribute.
