Old Boys in Action - Ipswich Town News

A number of ex-Town players will be in action in a five-a-side tournament raising money for the Les Sealey Trust Fund on July 14th. The former Coventry, Luton and Manchester United keeper died of a heart attack at the age of 43 last August.

Town's representative in the tournament at Hackney Marshes include Trevor Whymark, John Wark, Adam Tanner, Irvin Gernon, Trevor Putney, Mark Brennan and Ron Fearon.

Sky TV will be covering the event which will also include sides from Aston Villa, Charlton, Leyton Orient, Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and Sunderland.

Former Town players will also be in action in Masters Football on July 20th at the London Arena against Arsenal, Spurs and Millwall.

Town's provisional squad looks like this: Jon Hallworth, Simon Milton, Neil Thompson, Trevor Putney, Mark Brennan, Jason Dozzell, Bontcho Guentchev, Neil Woods, Ian Atkins and Steve Whitton.
