Jordan Roberts is the surprise inclusion in Paul Lambert’s first Town team facing Preston North End at Portman Road this afternoon.
The 24-year-old, who joined the Blues in the summer having left Crawley at the end of last season, will be making his full debut having made two sub appearances earlier in the campaign.
Town could line up in a number of ways but could start 4-3-3 with Roberts and Gwion Edwards either side of central striker Freddie Sears.
Cole Skuse will be joined in midfield by Trevoh Chalobah and Flynn Downes. At the back skipper Luke Chambers will be alongside Matthew Pennington at the centre of the defence with Jonas Knudsen at left-back and Jordan Spence at right-back. Bartosz Bialkowski is in goal.
For Preston, Josh Earl and Sean Maguire come into the starting Xl for the injured Andrew Hughes and Lukas Nmecha, who drops to the bench.
