Players Return in Shape - Ipswich Town News
Town's players have returned from their summer breaks in good condition, according to Simon Thadani, the club's fitness coach. Thadani, along with Steve McCall and Tony Mowbray, is currently taking charge of pre-season training sessions at the Royal Hospital School, Holbrook.
Thadani says: "I'm delighted at the level of fitness the players have shown.
"The players were given guidelines on how to train during the break, specifically about 'active rest' which includes swimming, going to the gym, playing tennis, that sort of thing.
"This week we are looking to build an aerobic foundation which will be the basis of their fitness for the season, so in a way this is the most important training week of the season in terms of their fitness foundation."
