U18s to Host Andover Town in FA Youth Cup - Ipswich Town News

The Blues' U18s will face Andover Town at home in the third round of the FA Youth Cup, the Bluebirds having won 8-7 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Wingate & Finchley in their second round tie this evening.

Andover's senior side play in the Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier Division.

The third round tie will be played at Portman Road on a date to be set before Saturday 15th December.

Last season the young Blues were beaten 2-0 at the fifth round stage at home by Blackpool having defeated Everton 2-1 in round three at Goodison Park and Dagenham & Redbridge at Portman Road, also 2-1, in the fourth round.

Town have won the competition on three occasions, in 1973, 1975 and most recently in 2005.
