Morris Nets First Senior Goal - Ipswich Town News

On-loan Blues striker Ben Morris netted his first senior goal as Forest Green Rovers beat Carlisle 2-1 at Brunton Park in League Two.

Morris put Rovers ahead in the 13th minute as he made his first league start having previously made three starts in the Checkatrade Trophy in addition to one appearance from the bench in the league.

The 19-year-old is on loan for the season but with the Blues able to cut his spell short in January.

Elsewhere, Tristan Nydam was an unused sub as his loan club St Johnstone drew 0-0 at home with Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.

Right-back Josh Emmanuel was in the Shrewsbury side which won 3-2 away at Wycombe Wanderers in League One.

Centre-half Luke Woolfenden played the full 90 minutes as Swindon won 1-0 at Port Vale in League Two.

Neither Aaron Drinan nor Pat Webber were involved for their loan clubs Sutton and Braintree in the Vanarama National League.

Meanwhile, today’s results in the Championship mean the Blues are now six points - plus goal difference - from safety with Millwall and Bolton in 21st and 22nd respectively having drawn 1-1 at the Den.
