Town Get Girls Licence - Ipswich Town News
Town have been awarded a licence to run a Girls' Centre of Excellence by the Football Association. The project will receive FA backing and kicks off in September.
It will involve squads of U12s and U14s who will be trained by Sean Thacker, the club's girls' football development officer.
The Centre of Excellence will be in many ways similar to the Academy with the more impressive players eventually progressing into the Town women's side.
Games are already planned against the likes of Norwich, Cambridge and Colchester.
