Town’s U18s returned to winning form by thrashing Colchester United 6-3 at Playford Road this morning.
The young Blues, without a win in their previous two games, went in front via trialist Ross Crane, a former U’s youngster, in the sixth minute, Armando Dobra (pictured) netted the second from the spot on 27 and Idris El Mizouni added the third in the 35th minute to make it 3-0 at the break.
Dobra scored his second of the game 11 minutes into the second half, Tommy Hughes scored the fifth on 61 and Bailey Clements Town’s sixth 16 minutes from time with the U’s also grabbing three in the second period.
The U18s are in action at Portman Road on Tuesday when they face non-league Andover Town’s youngsters in the third round of the FA Youth Cup (KO 7pm).
