Ward Likely to Be Out for Nine Months - Ipswich Town News

Town midfielder Grant Ward is expected to be out for around nine months with the cruciate knee ligament injury he suffered a QPR yesterday. Earlier this afternoon, the 24-year-old revealed that he would miss the rest of the season.

"Grant will see a specialist tomorrow and we will guided from there,” Town physio Matt Byard told the club site.

"It’s a complete rupture of the cruciate in his left knee [ACL]. We now know that and with that type of injury you are looking at around a nine-month recovery period.”

By the time he returns to fitness Ward will be out of contract with his terms up in the summer, although the club has an option to keep him for a further season.

Long road ahead but will come back stronger.....Thanks to everyone for the messages 💙 pic.twitter.com/iWUGYYxCA6– Grant Ward (@GrantWard_) December 27, 2018
