Bowditch Wins U17 Cap - Ipswich Town News
Town's Dean Bowditch came on as a 54th minute sub for the England U17s in their 2-2 draw with Italy at the Kassam Stadium, Oxford this evening.
Bowditch replaced Aston Villa's Luke Moore who scored both of England's goals in the first half.
England were the better side in an entertaining game which saw the Italians equalise twice, the second time in the closing minutes.
Bowditch's main contribution was a shot well-saved by the Italian keeper not long after coming on.
England now face the Czech Republic, who drew 1-1 with Brazil today, at St Andrew's on Thursday night (KO 8pm). That match, as well as England's final game with Brazil at Oxford on Sunday, will be live on Sky (KO 3.30pm).
