Boro and Stoke Again Linked With Knudsen - Ipswich Town News
Middlesbrough and Stoke reportedly continue to show interest in Blues left-back Jonas Knudsen, who they previously targeted in the summer.
According to Football Insider, the two clubs are planning to make moves for the Danish international before the January transfer window closes.
In November, the 26-year-old confirmed that there had been "concrete” interest from Boro and the Potters in the summer.
Knudsen is out of contract in the summer and, despite the offer of a new contract from Town, has indicated to the Blues that he would like to look at moving away. Town would prefer to accept a fee now rather than allow him to leave for free in the summer.
Last month, FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland in his native Denmark and Fortuna Düsseldorf were linked, while we understand West Brom are also monitoring Knudsen’s situation.
Speaking on Thursday, Blues boss Paul Lambert, who recently signed Callum Elder on loan from Leicester to come in at left-back for Knudsen, said he wasn’t aware that Town had received any offers for the former Esbjerg fB man: "Somebody’s got to come in for you and I’ve not heard anything at all.”
