Squad for Saffron Walden - Ipswich Town News
Town have named a very young squad for the reserves friendly against Saffron Walden Town on Thursday (KO 7.30pm). The only senior player included is Gary Croft, perhaps illustrating how far the former Blackburn man is from the first team.
Only a few other players have any first team experience at all, Richard Logan and Nabil Abidallah having had a few run-outs as sub for Town while Logan and James Pullen have played a few times when on loan at lower division clubs.
The game is being played at the Essex Senior League side's Caton's Lane ground.
Squad: James Pullen, Erdem Artun, Gary Croft, Matt Richards, Justin Miller, Lee Beevers, Nabil Abidallah, Matt Bloomfield, Ian Westlake, Matthew Robinson, Robert Dickinson, Richard Logan, Steve Burton, Gerard O'Connor, Sam Morrow, Erkan Okay, Marc Smith, Chris Hogg, Lee Chaffey and Guy Bonwick.
