Burley on Croft Move - Ipswich Town News
George Burley has confirmed that, as reported here yesterday, Gary Croft is in talks with Cardiff City over a permanent move to Ninian Park. Croft spent a loan spell with the Welsh club towards the end of last season.
Burley, who will let the 28-year-old leave on a free, said: "We have given Gary permission to speak to Cardiff City.
"He was on loan there last season and is now considering making it permanent and talks are ongoing."
Croft was at Cardiff last night having talks regarding his move which was why he missed the reserves friendly at Saffron Walden.
The former Grimsby man has been told he will have to take a pay-cut if and when he moves to the Second Division side.
