Bramble Move Complete - Ipswich Town News
Titus Bramble has completed his move to Newcastle United, signing a five-year deal at St James' Park. The deal had been held up while the 20-year-old recovered from a summer heel operation.
Town are thought to be getting around the £5 million mark for the defender, although the actual amount remains under wraps, as most Town fees have of late.
Bramble has already been training with his new side and has been given the same number 19 shirt he had at Town.
He said this morning he was glad to be moving to the Magpies: "Whilst I am sad to be leaving Ipswich Town, I am thrilled to be joining such a massive club as Newcastle United.
"There are some terrific players here, a tremendous manager and I cannot wait for the new season to start."
Newcastle boss Sir Bobby Robson added: "I am delighted that Titus will be part of our squad next season. He is a powerfully built lad who has the potential to achieve great things in the game."
