Freddie Sears’s strike at Aston Villa won the Sky Bet Goal of the Month award for January.
The 29-year-old, who has since been ruled out for between nine months and a year after suffering an ACL injury at Norwich, picked up 44 per cent of the vote for his brilliant effort from distance which found the top corner, following the Blues building from the back.
QPR midfielder Luke Freeman and Rotherham United defender Semi Ajayi were the other players nominated.
